When Glodi Beyuku Munsi signed at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, it felt like a routine transfer.

The 23 year old Congolese striker becomes Vipers SC’s first signing of the window, arriving with a growing reputation and an eye for goal.

For a club that chases trophies every season, adding a proven forward is no small move.

Beyuku joins from Congolese giants AS Vita Club, where he scored 10 league goals last season and had already netted twice in the current campaign before completing his switch. Those numbers tell the story of a striker in form.

His rise has been steady. Stints at OC Renaissance and AS Dauphins Noir helped shape his sharp movement, composure in one on one situations and instinct inside the box. He is comfortable playing off defenders’ shoulders and thrives in tight spaces.

At Kitende, though, he steps into fierce competition. Beyuku will wear shirt number 23 and joins an attacking unit that includes Yunus Sentamu, Gusto Mulongo, Mark Yallah, Kenneth Kimera, Isaac Ogwang and Milton Karisa. Minutes will have to be earned.
