Fresh off a remarkable season, Vipers Sports Club took their 2024/25 trophy parade to Namanve, home of long-time sponsors Plascon-Uganda to celebrate not just silverware, but a growing bond built on shared ambition.

Led by captain Milton Karisa, the Vipers squad players, coaches and officials received a warm welcome from Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte and his team.

The occasion was festive, with the Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup trophies on proud display.

“This is more than a visit; it’s a celebration of unity and success,” said Gumte.

“Vipers made a promise at the start of the season and they delivered. Their hunger and professionalism reflect our own.”

Now in its fifth year, the Vipers-Plascon partnership has brought two domestic doubles and unwavering support through every high and low. And the story isn’t ending any time soon.

Gumte used the occasion to announce a renewed three-year deal worth UGX 400 million. The package includes financial backing, marketing collaboration and support as Vipers gear up for the CAF Champions League.

“They’re not just sponsors,” said Vipers’ Legal Director Alex Luganda.

“They’re part of our football family. It’s an honour to wear the Plascon brand as we represent Uganda on the continental stage.”

Vipers marked the moment by presenting Plascon with a commemorative plaque. The day wrapped up with a tour of Plascon’s factory, giving players and media a closer look at the paint giant’s operations.
