Vipers Sports Club bounced back from a disappointing opening-day defeat to NEC FC with a resounding 3-0 victory over Express FC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende. The impressive performance secured Vipers’ first win of the 2024-2025 Ugandan Premier League season.
Milton Karisa led the way with a brace, while Fumador Awisome added another goal to seal the deal. The goals came in the 21st, 75th, and 84th minutes, with the Vipers captain playing a key role in his team’s goals, assisting the third.
Express FC, who struggled to overcome Mbale Heroes in their opening match, suffered their first defeat of the campaign. The Red eagles opened the season with a 2-1 win over the Surgeons at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
Vipers will next face Lugazi FC on Thursday, while Express FC will take on Maroons on Saturday, September 28th.
