Star Times Uganda Premier League (UPL) Match Day 14 ended yesterday with a total of 24 goals scored in eight games.

Defending champions Vipers SC joined record champions SC Villa as the biggest winners of the outing thanks to a 4-1 victory over NEC, and a 3-0 triumph against UPDF, respectively.

A first-half strike from Yunus Sentamu and Ghanaian Fumador Asiwome‘s hat trick was enough to overpower Cromwel Rwothomio‘s strike at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

Earlier on, Jonah Patrick Kakande’s brace and Hakim Kiwanuka’s strike propelled SC Villa to a comfortable home win at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

However, the biggest fixture of Match Day 14 was between KCCA FC and URA FC, a five-goal thriller at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. KCCA won 3-2 courtesy of a Shaban Muhammad strike in the second half.

The shock result of the round saw table leaders BUL FC fall 2-1 in a Jinja derby against Gaddafi FC.

Away from the goals to their impact, Vipers climbed to second position from fourth at the expense of Kitara FC and Maroons FC who both lost their games.

At the bottom, Busoga FC’s 2-1 win over Kitara lifted them out of relegation as Wakiso Giants dropped into the danger zone.

Action returns this Friday with two fixtures on the menu; Kitara FC hosts Solito Bright Stars while Maroons will entertain UPDF as both sides seek to return to winning ways.
