Uganda Premier League champions have completed the capture of two Congolese-born players in; midfielder Olivier Omadjondo Osomba and goalkeeper Alfred Macumu Mudekereza.
The double, who were unveiled at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Tuesday, penned three year contracts, that will run till 2025.
Osomba joined the Venoms after the expiry of his contract at Burundi outfit Aigle Noir Makamba.
“I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Vipers SC. It’s a massive club and l promise to give my best,” Osomba told Vipers media.
“It’s a pleasure to be here in Uganda and I’m very happy to be a part of this great club. And, l thank the club for giving me this opportunity,” he added.
According to the club’s website, he scored five goals and racked up seven assists, albeit, operating in a reserved role in midfield.
Away from the middle of the park to the nets, Mudekereza also shared the same sentiments with the midfielder: “I am really happy to be here and to work in this great club.I come here to fight for all the competitions.”
Mudekereza arrives after his three-year spell with Congolese side Olympic Club Bukavu Dawa came to an end at the conclusion of the 2021/22 season
The two became the third and forth Congolese players to ever sign for the Kitende outfit, following Cesar Manzoki (who later switched citizenship to Central African Republic) and Clovis Mbayi.
