Vipers SC will face South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns in an international friendly on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
The match will be only four days before Vipers SC tussle it out with Botswana outfit Jwaneng Galaxy in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
This will be a valuable opportunity for Vipers SC to test themselves against one of the best teams on the continent.
Mamelodi Sundowns is the most successful club in South African football, having won 16 Premier Soccer League titles and one CAF Champions League title.
They also have a CAF Super Cup, four MTN 8 cups, four Telkom Knockout championships and six Nedbank Cups.
Vipers SC will be looking to make a better case at the CAF Champions League this season after collecting just two points in the group stages last campaign.
This friendly against Mamelodi Sundowns will be a good test of their strength and will give them a chance to gain some valuable experience.
