This Saturday, Lugogo Sports Complex continues to be the battleground as Season 4, Week 6 of the Uganda Boxing Federation’s Champions League rolls in.

With 26 bouts scheduled across junior, youth, and elite divisions, the spotlight burns brightest on the main event set to be between Kemis Ibrahim and Derrick Lubega.

The elite lightweight bout dubbed the “Lugogo Lightweight War” has been building steam all week thanks to a heated exchange of words between the fighters.

“Mr. Lubega should first go back and bathe,” Kemis taunted. “I’m going to beat him so bad he’ll return to the abattoir.”

Lubega hit back with fire; “Tell him not to show up, he won’t survive. If he comes, I’m chopping his head off.”

It’s more than trash talk. With both men known for their finishing power, and national rankings potentially on the line, this isn’t just a fight, it’s a statement.

Before the main event, fans will be treated to a full day of action starting at 3 PM. In the juniors, watch for the featherweight clash between Lubega Ashiraf and Sekandi Muhammad, and promising female talents like Apio Marion and Nadunga Prima.

In the youth and elite ranks, sparks are expected to fly as COBAP’s Kimera Moses takes on Golola Umar from the Army in a flyweight duel packed with speed and heart.

Other standout matchups include:
• Heavyweight (92kg): Aziz Ringo (Kololo) vs James Baraka (Lukanga)
• Light Heavyweight (80kg): Kilwana Sadat (Zebra) vs Kasujja Richard (Lukanga)
• Middleweight (75kg): Ojok Alfred (Brawn) vs Mukuye Harold (UPDF)
