As URA FC awaits to host UPDF FC at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo on Wednesday, October 28, head coach Alex Isabirye vowed to show no mercy to the visitors.

Following the last prep for the Uganda Premier League clash scheduled for tomorrow, he said,

“On Wednesday, we are set to host UPDF FC. We are well aware that they lost their last game, but we are not in good fortune since we are winless in our opening four games. So, tomorrow we are going to do everything in our power to get our first win of this season.”

Meanwhile, UPDF FC defender Bernard Muwanga has shown no fear while sharing game expectations, “Since we lost our last game, we have worked on every mistake that cost us the Maroons FC game.” He said

“As we are traveling to Nakivubo, we are ready to bounce back. We understand that URA FC is a good team, quick in going forward, but we have resorted to the strategies to stop them and turn the game into our hands.”

This season, URA FC has played four games so far, drawing all of them while scoring only once in a 1-1 draw against their stadium compatriots, Express FC.

In other games, they have played goalless draw against Bul FC, NEC FC, and Lugazi FC in their last outing.

On the other hand, UPDF FC have so far played three matches, winning over Mbarara City 1-0 thanks to Samuel Ssekamatte for the goal.

In the other games, they have lost twice, 1-0 to Express FC and 2-1 to Maroons FC.

Going into the game, URA FC is parading a better team on paper considering the technical team of Isabirye and Edward Gololo, on the UPDF FC bench there will be Alex Gitta, in players it seems like the teams are somehow balanced.

URA FC mostly relies on captain Moses Aliro, Laban Tibita, and Joseph Ssemuju, Nelson Ssenkatuka while UPDF FC is mostly hoping for Samuel Ssekamatte, Samson Kigozi, Joseph Janjali, and Faridi Rashid to lift them.

With Ronald Otti and Arthur Kiggundu likely to continue on the sideline, UPDF FC will miss Christopher Kawagu through suspension, serving his last game of the red card he got in a win over Mbarara City, fellow defender Satulo Edward will also remain on the sideline for the visitors with injury while goalkeeper Abdul Kimera is likely back in the squad.

Head to head last season, URA FC collected a double over UPDF FC, winning at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, 2-1, and 1-0 in Bombo.
