Kaddu Badru Mukasa is turning NEC FC’s recent disappointment into a plan for growth. After bowing out of the Plascon co-sponsored Uganda Cup quarterfinals against Vipers SC on April 3rd, the coach says he will focus on developing his players.

NEC held Vipers goalless for 120 minutes before losing in a penalty shootout, showing resilience and defensive discipline.

Kaddu praised that effort but stressed that finishing chances remains a key weakness.

“We are going to use the remaining months to improve the players who are not yet perfect so that we can achieve our objective of playing good football and winning beautifully,” he said.

Kaddu plans to refine his players’ attacking precision and decision-making in the final third, aiming to make NEC stronger and more competitive.

The cup exit may be disappointing, but under his guidance, it could mark the start of a sharper, more confident side.
