KCCA FC co-head coach Jackson Magera Kaddu has urged his players to maintain their intensity as they face Lugazi FC in Najjembe on Saturday.

The Cityzens travel in strong form, chasing a fifth straight victory in the Uganda Premier League.

They come off a commanding 3–0 win over Express FC in the Kampala derby earlier this week, following wins against BUL FC (2–1), Buhimba United Saints (2–0 away) and Police FC (2–1).

Magera expects a difficult test despite Lugazi’s recent struggles.

“Lugazi is a different side when playing at home, but our focus is on maintaining the intensity we showed against Express,” he said.

“We are in the business end of the season and cannot afford to drop points if we want to stay in the title race.”

KCCA sit third on the table with 42 points from 20 matches, just a few points behind the leaders, making every game crucial.

League top scorer Ivan Ahimbisibwe will again lead the attack, while Sammy Ssebadukka is expected to play a key role as the visitors push for maximum points.

For Lugazi, the match offers a chance to halt a poor run. They have lost their last three league matches, 1–0 to URA FC, 2–0 to NEC FC and 3–0 to Vipers SC and have not scored in that stretch.

They sit 12th with 18 points from 20 games and are looking to use home advantage to move away from the relegation battle.

The reverse fixture at Lugogo ended goalless, though KCCA will remember last season’s emphatic 5–0 win over Lugazi.
