Express FC beat KCCA FC 1-0 to stretch their unbeaten run to 6 and 5 games under Coach Badr Kaddu.
Since taking over from Baker Mbowa, KB has guided Mukwano Gw’abangi to three wins and two draws.
During his reign, two iconic wins over rivals KCCA FC and SC Villa have been witnessed.
Commenting on the good performance Express FC captain Emmanuel Alex Wasswa said
“Under Coach KB we are more organized than before, we are more focused on understanding the game on and off the pitch, I believe now we are getting closer to where he wants us”
Leading by example, Wasswa scored the only goal to defeat his former team on two spells and he commented on the win: “[We] came here with many players who have been here before and we had many things to prove.”
On Saturday 7 December, Express FC was the better side in the game played at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo as KCCA FC head Coach Abdallah Mubiru said; “We did everything in our capacity to get the result but Express FC was a better side on the day. As the team we are hurt and we feel sorry for our fans, it is a loss to take and refocus on the next game.”
Meanwhile, Abdallah’s compatriot and a fellow tabliq Badr Kaddu said; “It is a game which is always expected to go either way, today is our win, our players have handled the game very well, now we are looking for more improvement cause we want Express FC Mukwano Gw’abangi to get back to where it is supposed to be.”
Into the game, Express FC survived the risky play from goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyawa but his coach on the touchline did not change in any way indicating that he may be wanting the goalkeeper’s involvement in the game as at some time they were communicating.
The other game pick was the game organisation from defence led by Versatile player Harbert Achai who looked fantastic with his defending and commanding prowse.
