2025 Masaza Cup Final

In the midst of preparing for the final of the Plascon-sponsored Masaza Cup, Ssingo team captain Shaban Kayongo has vowed to do or die, despite Ssingo having already won the Buganda Masaza Cup.
Speaking about the Final on Saturday, November 1, he said,
“Although winning the Masaza Cup will not be new to Ssingo, we as players will do everything possible to bring back happiness to Ssingo because it’s been a while since we last won it.
As players, winning this Cup is very important to me and my friends since it will be the first for many of us, and the last chance for some.”
Ssingo have won the Masaza Cup twice, in 2015 and 2018, but have lost in the final three times, in 2017, 2014, and 2013, in the last finals played at the old Nakivubo.
Buweekula has played two finals and lost both of them, in 2012 to Bulemeezi and in 2022 to Buddu, leaving Buweekula looking for its first trophy.
Meanwhile, the teams are ready to play the final. The organizers are also busy preparing, and yesterday held a security meeting to ensure security is paramount.
This meeting took place at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, where the final will be played.
With the stadium in good shape to host the final, Buwekula and Ssingo are both awaiting practice and to feel the stadium where they will play.
They will get dropped off at the stadium tomorrow, Friday, October 31st.
