What She Corporate have done differently to lead the pack

She Corporate FC have emerged as a story on its own in the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League season.

The Jinja based side sits top with 35 points, two ahead of Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club, a position few would have predicted at the start of the campaign.

The rise comes after a difficult previous season. She Corporate finished sixth in the 2024/25 campaign and collected fewer points in the entire season than they currently have with eight games left. For a club that won the league in 2021/22, that performance forced a rethink.

One of the biggest changes came on the technical bench. The club appointed Burundian coach Belyse Ininahazwe as head coach, assisted by experienced tactician Sadam Cifu Pande, who joined from Olila High School WFC. The pair brought a fresh approach and quickly reshaped the squad.

Last season the team relied heavily on experienced players like Ronah Regina Nantege, Babra Adweru and goalkeeper Moureen Nankiinga Nalongo Hadijah.

This season has seen a new group take responsibility. Molly Naava now starts in goal, while Gillian Akadinda, Sandra Kisakye, youngster Leticia Nakyeyune and Cissy Nakato have become key figures.

In attack, Jesca Namanda has been crucial. Injury-free this season, she has scored 10 goals and is level with Catherine Nagadya of Kampala Queens FC in the race for the golden boot.

Namanda scored 11 goals last season, but this time she has support, with Rebecca Nakato and Sandra Kisakye each adding four.

The club also strengthened in January, bringing in Sumaya Komuntale from Kampala Queens FC and Diana Cheptoo Koske from Bandari Queens in Kenya.

Another key difference has been off the pitch. This season the team has been camping together in Jinja.

Living and training together has improved team spirit and organization, with players travelling to training in the same vehicle and receiving structured training allowances and match bonuses.

With eight matches left, the title race is still open. She Corporate next visit Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club on Sunday, March 15, in a match that could shape the title race.

They will also host Kampala Queens FC on April 4 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru in another crucial fixture.
