27-yr old versatile midfielder Winnie Babirye has rejoined FUFA Women Super League side She Makerere Women Football Club after only one season.
Babirye who joined Kenyan side Vihiga Queens in March last year, helped the club to win the Kenyan top flight women league title and also finished fourth in the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifier.
Babirye who has previously featured for Tooro Queens, Lady Doves and Kampala Queens is expected to play a crucial role for She Makerere in the second round of the FUFA Women Super League.
Coach Fred Ndawula’s side are currently 8th on the table with 8 points and they’ll visit Asubo Ladies FC next weekend in the first game of the second round.
