The sands of Samaki Beach are set for another lively showdown as women’s beach soccer returns with the End of Year Women Beach Soccer Festival, a tournament that has steadily carved its place on Uganda’s sporting scene.
Now in its fourth edition, the festival will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, with kick-off at 11am at Samaki Beach, Busabala.
What started as a simple end of year event has grown into an important stage for talent, competition and the continued rise of women’s beach soccer in the country.
Four teams are already confirmed, setting the tone for a thrilling contest. Lubiri Falcon Ladies, Kampala Junior Team Ladies, Mpata Ladies and defending champions Prison Ladies will all battle for honours, each eager to leave their mark on the sand.
More teams could still join the line-up, with organisers expecting late entries before the registration deadline.
Their optimism reflects the growing interest in the women’s beach game, which continues to attract new teams and fresh energy with every edition.
