YMCA will be looking for their first win of the University Football League season when they host Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) on Thursday in Group B at Buwambo.

YMCA have lost twice and drawn once in their opening three games, but coach Michael Kalyesubula is confident that his team has learned from their mistakes.

“It’s a matter of what we can do to fix things, what corrections we need to make,” Kalyesubula said.

“The boys have been good about working to make those corrections and keeping the team together.”

IUIU, on the other hand, will be looking to build on their 2-0 victory over YMCA in the reverse fixture last week.

A win for IUIU would take them level on points with Group B leaders Makerere University Business School, although MUBS have a game in hand.

IUIU coach Haruna Kebba is confident that his team can challenge for the title.

“Some people had written us off when we lost to MUBS, but haven’t written us off yet,” Kebba said.

“Our objective is to not only make it to the knockout stage, but to play in the Finals.

“We have a fantastic group of players that I am privileged to work with, and I know we shall have a good game at Buwambo.”
