The FUFA Competitions Department has officially confirmed the quarterfinal fixtures dates for the 51st edition of the Uganda Cup, Africa’s second oldest football tournament and one of Uganda’s most prestigious sporting events.
As fans prepare for four days of thrilling action, all eyes are on the dates, rivalries, and the rich history each club brings to the pitch.
- KCCA FC’s road test begins in Kyamate
The quarterfinal drama kicks off on 19th April 2025 when KCCA FC, 10-time record winners of the Uganda Cup, travel west to face Kaaro Karungi at Kyamate Stadium.

The hopes are high as KCCA, who lay their hope in the knockout competition, aim to extend their dominance but they’ll face a determined Kaaro Karungi side hungry to make history in front of a home crowd.
- A battle of champions: Kitara (2024 Winner) vs BUL (2022 Winner)
The spotlight then shifts to 20th April at Butema Royal Park where defending champions Kitara FC clash with 2022 winners BUL FC in a mouthwatering encounter.
Kitara, who lifted the trophy after defeating NEC FC in last year’s final are keen on back-to-back glory. But BUL, who famously beat Vipers SC to win their first title in 2022, stand in their way with equal ambition.
- Vipers and Villa set for historic duel
If there’s a fixture that’s bound to capture the nation’s attention, it’s Vipers SC vs SC Villa on 21st April at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende. With nine titles to their name, SC Villa bring legacy while Vipers, three-time winners bring flair and form.
After Vipers eliminated Blacks Power and Villa saw off Lugazi FC in the Round of 16, both sides are in fierce form. Expect fireworks when these two giants lock horns.
- Police vs Kataka: Underdogs, upsets and opportunity
The quarterfinals conclude on 22nd April with Police FC facing Kataka FC at the Kavumba Recreation Ground. The Cops, runners-up in the 2023 edition, know what it takes to go deep into the competition.
Meanwhile, Kataka, fresh off a stunning elimination of URA FC have already proven their ability to punch above their weight.
