- KCCA 1-2 BUL
KCCA FC’s fresh chapter under interim coach Jackson Magera got off to a difficult start, as the Kasasiro Boys fell 2-1 to a clinical BUL FC side in the Uganda Premier League on Saturday.
Taking charge following the departure of Abdallah Mubiru, Magera faced an uphill task in his debut on the touchline. KCCA, still reeling from a 4-0 hammering by Kitara, once again struggled to assert control, this time at their own Lugogo fortress.
The visitors, BUL FC, were organized, efficient, and quick to pounce on mistakes. Midfielder Jeromy Kirya broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a costly blunder by KCCA goalkeeper Mutwalibu Mugolofa to give BUL a deserved lead.

KCCA nearly responded before halftime through Saidi Mayanja, whose header off an Arafat Usama cross narrowly missed the target. The home side came out with greater urgency in the second half but BUL’s disciplined defense anchored by a sharp performance from goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, kept them at bay. Mutakubwa made crucial stops to deny efforts from Gavin Kizito and Joel Sserunjogi.
BUL sealed the win in the 83rd minute when Karim Ndugwa coolly slotted home following a lightning-fast counter attack orchestrated by Isaac Musiima. Ashraf Mugume managed to pull one back deep into stoppage time for KCCA, but it was too little, too late.
The result sees BUL FC climb to third on the table with 42 points from 23 matches, while KCCA remain sixth with 34 points from the same number of games.
Magera now faces a quick turnaround as his side prepares to visit URA FC on April 16, while BUL hosts Police FC in their next fixture.
