Thirty five participants for the FUBA Beginner’s Coaching Course were awarded with certificates on Sunday after concluding a training that lasted three days.
The coaching course had been organised under the auspices of FUBA in association with the Youth, mini basketball and Educational institutions Commission.
Among the 35 participants were five females who all benefited from the technical guidance of reknown and versed coaches including Nicholas Natuheraza.
Other instructors included National team Coach For the gazelles, Ali Mavita and Former National Youth Team Coach, Albert Aciko.
The course mainly focused on Introduction to coaching, coaches pathways, development as a Coach, fundamental skills, and hands on practice.
Following certification, the participants were encouraged to dive into the field and practice what they had been taught.
Among the schools that took part were; Train Up A Child – Bugolobi, Janan Primary School, St Francis Junior School – Buddo, Nation Changers – Mukono, Hill Preparatory School – Naguru and Delhi Public.
