The Uganda Women Table Tennis national team will be in action this afternoon as they take on Group Two favourites Nigeria at the ongoing Africa Senior Championships.

After winning silver and emerging as number two at the Djibouti Regional Senior Championships in March this year, the Ladies team qualified for the continental showpiece.

The team of three players that left the country over the weekend enroute to Tunisia via Istanbul, Turkey landed safe and had a light training ahead of today’s action.

A good start against a big country before they face off with Ethiopia is the team’s target. The team has captain Ivy Nekesa, Parvin Nangonzi and Jemimah Nakawala.

Action for the Africa Senior Championships 2023 will run for six days with curtains folding on 17th September.

From Nnalubaale Sports, we wish the team all the best!
