The FUFA Women Super League returns on the 17th of September 2022 following a successful club licencing process.
All the ten clubs passed the uphill task and match day one will have defending champions She Corporate FC visit newly promoted side, Makerere University Women Football Club.
The opening weekend of the League menu will present four games played at different venues as clubs battle for bragging rights.
However, for the 10 clubs to be apart of the fixtures, they had to meet standards for five key categories namely; administration, legal, finance, sporting and infrastructure.
The aforementioned categories were further digested into the following:
For administration, the club had to be with a Chief Executive Officer, CAF C coach and a medical personnel.
In the finance department, an active bank account, current bank statement on top of the club’s season budget.
For the legal corner, each club had to submit statutes, ownership form, declaration of compliance form and an application for club license form.
Regarding to the sporting arena, clubs were tasked to submit medical reports of all players, a minimum of five contracted players, list of players (maximum of 30) allocated with shirt numbers.
Well, for all the above mentioned to happen, a playing surface has to be in place hence the Infrastructure category which had clubs exhibit a club office facility, full green pitch and a stadium tenancy agreement.
