In the aftermath of unveiling midfielder Yusuf Ssozi, Express FC head coach James Odoch has revealed the key attributes the former will bring to the team, as the rebuilding of the Wankulukuku based side takes shape.
The Red Eagles acquired and unveiled Ssozi on Monday after the expiry of his contract with relegated Police FC, and the tactician cannot wait to see him don the red shirt.
“Ssozi is one of the most experienced midfielders in the country,” stated Odoch via the club’s website.
“Having him in the team will be very good especially for the young players who will learn a lot from him.”
The midfielder started off his career at the SC Villa Academy under coach Paul Nkata and Ibrahim Kirya.
Previously, he also featured for Lweza FC, Nairobi City Stars in Kenya, AFC Leopards (Kenya) and Kalulushi Modern Stars in Zambia.
He later returned to the country, joining Paidha Black Angels in 2018, before he left to join Police FC.
He becomes Mukwano Gwabangi’s sixth signing after Benjamin Gakumba, Anwar Ntege, Hamim Semakula, Andrew Kaggwa and Marvin Oshaba.
