Goals poured in as teams battled fiercely, delivering a spectacle for beach soccer enthusiasts at the Bamboo Gardens beach soccer arena in Kasanje.
Under a clear sky, the day began with a commanding performance from Kampala City, who cruised to a 6-3 victory over Mutoola.
Byaruhnaga Rica, Wasswa Emmanuel, Lubwama Joshua, and Mugumila Ashraf each scored once for Kampala City, while Kato Paul’s brace secured a comfortable win.
Despite a spirited effort from Mutoola, with Nsenge Paul scoring twice and Kakwaya Swaibu adding another, they couldn’t match Kampala City’s firepower.
In the following match, MUBS displayed their attacking prowess with a resounding 6-2 triumph over Grace Church.
Bingana Malik and Magumba Stewart each struck twice for MUBS, while Opolot Moses and Lasu Thomas contributed a goal apiece.
Owen Ben and Kibirige Jeremiah managed to score for Grace Church, but their efforts proved to be mere consolation against a dominant MUBS side.
Action continued as Grace Church faced another tough challenge in their second fixture of the day, succumbing to a 5-1 defeat against MS Sand Lions.
Kagezi Junior was the star, netting an impressive four goals for the victors, while Ssemakula Shaban added the fifth. Muwanguzi Jonathan scored the solitary goal for Grace Church.
In the day’s final game, MUBS continued their stellar performance on Match Day 11, securing a second victory with a thrilling 8-4 win over Wolves.
Magumba Stewart continued his goal-scoring form, bagging a hat-trick for MUBS. Senkumba Farouk struck twice, while Lasu Thomas and Opolot Moses each added one, along with an own goal from Wolves’ Omuya Francis.
Despite goals from Luyima Derrick, Sekiti Faisal, Sentamu Julius, and another from Omuya Francis, Wolves couldn’t contain MUBS’ relentless attack.
