Boys Cricket Week: Mwiri draws rivals Jinja SS, Ntare

Busoga College Mwiri have been drawn alongside rivals Ntare School and Jinja SS in Group A of the Sky view Boys Schools Cricket Week that bowls off on Sunday in five different grounds across Jinja.

Mwiri who are the record winners of this historic competition have also been pitted against Delhi Public School International, Ndejje SS, Teso College Aloet and Kilembe SS but they will bowl off their title defence against Masaka SS at the Jinja Cricket Oval tomorrow.

Group A is being referred to as the Group of death but the defending champions will seek to get the tournament off to a smashing fashion.

Group B has Nyakasura School who were the runners up last year. Nyakasura that has Cricket Cranes spinner Joseph Baguma as their star player has been grouped with Lords Meade Vocational College, Kololo SS, Kiira College Butiki, Good Heart SS, St. John’s SS Mukono, St. John’s High School and debutants St. Joseph’s College Layibi.
