The result was Buja Queens’ first win of the tournament, while it was Kampala Queens’ first loss.

Buja Queens were boosted by the addition of Asha Djafari and Viviane Corazone, who missed the first game which they lost 1-2 to CBE.

Kampala Queens had started the tournament with a 3-0 comfortable win over Yei Joint Stars.

The Queens of Soccer will seek for redemption when they meet Ethiopian giants C.B.E on Friday this week.

In the second game of the day, C.B.E FC continued with their perfect run when they thrashed FAD FC of Djibouti 8-0.

Senafu Wakuma and substitute Ariet Odong scored a brace each, while Loza Abera, Aregash Tadesse, Nardos Gatenet and Bira Etsegenet added one each.

CBE now top the Group A table with six points, while Kampala Queens and Buja Queens have three points each.

Uganda still has a long way to produce some good keepers in women footballers,KQ played well especially in the second round after the introduction of Nakigozi Elizabeth but gave away cheap goals, some changes from the coaches cost them points but they(coaches) are doing a tremendous job and you can’t blame them why they did all those changes because they are the ones in the camp with the players,so technically they had their reasons, other wise Kampala Queens WFC is building a football style that will be hard for teams in Cecafa region to handle if given time by engineer Moses Magogo.
