Buluuli FC is looking to bounce back from a disappointing second round in the Masaza Cup as they face Kyadondo FC at the Kakooge play ground on Sunday, September 1st 2024.

After a promising unbeaten start in the first round under former coach Anthony Bongole, the team’s performance has faltered, leading to Bongole’s dismissal and the appointment of Chancely Morgan.

Buluuli’s form has deteriorated in recent matches. A damaging 2-1 loss to Butambala and consecutive draws at home have put their quarterfinal aspirations in jeopardy.

What the coaches said

While giving his expectations ahead of the encounter, former Paidha black Angles tactician Chancely Morgan was optimistic despite this being his first game in charge of Buluuli.

“We are well-prepared for tomorrow’s crucial match,” he stated. “We are treating it as our final. We are feeling positive and confident, the team is ready in all aspects.”

Kyadondo’s head coach, Meddie Nyanzo, also expressed his team’s readiness for the encounter. “I know it’s a tough game, but we are well-prepared,” he said. “We are focused and the team is in good condition.”

A victory for Buluuli could propel them into the last eight, while a win for Kyadondo would significantly improve their chances of advancing to the next stage. Both teams are eager to secure a positive result in this crucial match.

Buluuli will be without the services of Benjamin Opakrwath and Ronald Onabi due to illness, while visiting team Kyadondo is expected to approach the game with its full squad available for selection.

Fourth placed Bugerere is also vying for a knockout slot and will face off against Buddu at the Kitovu arena
