Kampala Queens are on a mission of strengthening their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League zonal qualifiers.

The FUFA Women Super League champions are pushing for the signature of UCU Lady Cardinals sharp striker Ashiat Naluggwa.

Money bags, Queens approached Naluggwa but the latest information on Nnalubaale Sports desk has it that she asked them for some days to make up her mind.

Plus, according to her close friends, she wants to finish her education at UCU before thinking of joining another club.

Ashiat Naluggwa scored 11 league goals last season despite her side UCU Lady Cardinals putting on a poor show.

The other factor is Queens’ new signing of Fazila Ikwaput, a direct competitor to Naluggwa who needs more playing time to perfect her craft.

Queens are now eying other players and Uganda Martyrs pacy forward Catherine Nagadya is making those on their wish list.

The forthcoming CAF Champions League Cecafa Zonal qualifiers will be hosted in Uganda this year.
