The Uganda U-18 Women’s National Team has been released from the camp after the postponement of the Cecafa U-18 Women’s Championship 2023.
The National team entered the residential camp on 12th June at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.
The tournament was due to kick off on 24th June in Nairobi, Kenya.
It was later postponed three times and today, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations have confirmed that players and officials have been released from the camp.
“FUFA has confirmed the release of the entire contingent of players and officials of the Uganda National Women’s U18 team players from residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru after CECAFA postponed the tournament.”
“The players will now return to their respective schools and clubs.
“FUFA will communicate any new future developments from CECAFA about the tournament.” FUFA statement reads.
