Gaming brand betPawa has committed UGX 10 million to the second edition of the Corporate Run, a community event dedicated to improving maternal healthcare in Uganda.

The run, set for 12 October 2025 at NEC FC Grounds in Bugolobi, will bring thousands together under the theme “Run for Expectant Mothers,” blending fitness, corporate networking, and a call for safer childbirth.

Organized by Corporate Games with the Ministry of Health, the annual run raises awareness about non-communicable diseases while directly supporting pregnant women in underserved areas. Proceeds will buy mama kits, each worth UGX 50,000, to help mothers deliver safely.

The campaign comes at a critical time. Uganda loses an average of 16 women every day to pregnancy-related complications.

“By joining the run, every participant is not only promoting personal wellness but also giving another mother and child a chance at life,” organizers said.

Last year’s inaugural event drew a strong turnout, but this year is expected to be even bigger, with over 5,000 runners anticipated.

Corporate teams from across industries will compete and collaborate, proving that collective action can drive real change.

Beyond the race, the Corporate Run portrays a larger movement where sport and social responsibility meet to uphold the dignity, safety and well-being of mothers nationwide.
