Cranes striker Nsibambi ditches URA FC, off to Asia

Six months into his stint at URA FC, Uganda Cranes forward Derrick Nsibambi has departed for Oman side Albashaer FC.

The development was confirmed by the Tax Collectors on Saturday night, asserting the two parties parted ways on mutual consent.

“We would like to announce the departure of forward Derrick Nsibambi to Albashaer club of Oman on mutual consent.”

“We thank him for the time he has been with us and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” concluded the statement from the Taxmen.

Having joined at the start of the campaign as a free agent for what was supposed to be a year, Nsibambi netted only twice for URA in a short spell that was marred by injuries.

Previously, he has featured for, KCCA FC, Sebeta City in Ethiopia and Smouha SC in the Egyptian top-tier.
