After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, KTP Kotka defeated Rops 2-1 in the second leg hence gaining promotion to the Ykkosessa League, the top women football league in the Finland.

Aturo has been part of KTP Kotka since March and managed to play over 10 matches with the club.

The crested cranes first choice keeper joined Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat on a two-year deal signed back in 2021.

Before the said move, Aturo played for UCU Lady Cardinals FC in the FUFA Women Super League and helped them win two titles out of the three seasons she was at the club.

Before her university football life, Aturo had three years at Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC where she won three FUFA Women Elite League titles.

Aturo is among a number of Ugandan female players pursuing professional football in Europe.

In her career the skilled goal keeper has won several individual awards such as; FUFA Female Player of the Year, CECAFA Women’s Challenge Cup Goalkeeper of the Tournament and COSAFA Women’s Championship Goalkeeper of the Tournament among other awards.
