Elgon Wolves have triumphed against pink boy Warriors to advance to the promotion play-off final.

A strong second half saw the Mbale-based side win 15-10 and deny the Warriors a chance at an immediate return to the Premiership.

The Warriors were relegated last season and have had to tussle it out in the Central League this year.

The loss today that left many in tears means they’ll play a lot more midday rugby next year.

The Wolves will play the Kitante-based Eagles in the Championship final, with the winner earning promotion to the Nile Special Rugby Premiership.

The Eagles, in the first playoff semi-final at Dam Waters in Jinja, defeated the Gulu Falcons 21-11.

Their progress is a testament to the work they have put in since they were pipped last year by the Walukuba, BOKs, and Kyambogo.

The Elgon Wolves and Kitante Eagles will play for promotion next weekend in Lugogo at the Legends Rugby Grounds.
