Vipers SC, the 2022/23 Startimes Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup winners, have agreed to sign Enock Walusimbi in a major transfer boost.

The 24-year-old defender, who was released by Scottish club Peterhead in May, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Vipers and is expected to be unveiled soon.

Walusimbi is a proven performer in the Ugandan Premier League, having previously played for Bright Stars and Express FC.

He helped Express win the league title in 2020/21 and the CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2021.

The towering defender is known for his strong tackling and aerial ability. He will be a valuable addition to the Vipers squad as they look to defend their league title and challenge for continental honors.

Vipers have already confirmed the signing of Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, and Brazilian Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez this summer.

The addition of Walusimbi is a major coup for the club and they will be hoping that he can help them achieve their goals in the upcoming season.
