Wakiso Hills WFC, the newly promoted side to the FUFA Women Super League, have made a major signing ahead of the 2023/24 season, acquiring the services of experienced left-back Phoebe Banura from She Corporate FC.

Banura, who has one year left on her contract with She Corporate FC, was part of the Crested Cranes squad that took part in the 2021 COSAFA tournament in South Africa.

She is a versatile defender who can also play in midfield.

The signing of Banura is a major coup for Wakiso Hills WFC, who are looking to make an impression in their debut season in the top flight.

The team is also in talks with out-of-contract Amina Nababi, and is expected to make more signings in the coming weeks.

With the addition of Banura, Wakiso Hills WFC are now one of the favorites to challenge for the FUFA Women Super League title in the 2023/24 season.
