Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have completed the signing of Congolese defender Jacques Mangoba, making him their second addition of the transfer window.
The Kitende-based club confirmed the move on Thursday through its official social media channels.
“Welcome to Vipers SC, Jacques Mangoba. From Kisansha, DRC to St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende,” the club posted.
Mangoba joins shortly after the arrival of Uganda Cranes midfielder Joel Sserunjogi from KCCA, as Vipers continue to strengthen a squad expected to compete on several fronts next season.
The defender reunites with Kevin Da Sylva Bady, his former teammate at AS Simba Kamikaze in DR Congo. He also brings valuable experience from spells with Angola’s Sagrada Esperança and Congolese side AS Vita.
Vipers are building a squad capable of defending the Uganda Premier League title while mounting strong challenges in the Uganda Cup, the CECAFA Kagame Club Championship and continental competitions.
