Following the successful completion of the group stage matches, Kitende will face debutants Kitovu while defending champions Kibuli battle with another debutant Amus in the semifinals on Saturday 26th August, 2023 in Huye, Rwanda.
Amus College led group A with 13 points while defending Champions Kibuli finished second behind St Mary’s Kitende in group B.
Kibuli against scoring-free Amus College is a repeat of the national quarter final duel at Nyakasura in Fort Portal city.
Amus College’s Allan Oyirwoth is current leading scorer with 10 goals scored in just five matches and will be the man to rely on as his side seek to reach the finals for the first time.
Kitovu will rely on Alfred Ejoyi and Godfrey Ssekibengo while Kitende’s Hakim Mutebi has been a threat to the opponents and is expected to continue with his fine form.
Kitovu, coached by Fred Kasendeke, will seek revenge against Kitende, a team they lost 1-0 to in the 2022 USSSA football championship in Fort Portal city.
