After a tiring day, we had a lot of highs and lows all through, especially in the gents’ category of the PAU Grand Open Pool.
Our neighbours Tanzania played well and out of seven players that made the trip, three have been sent packing with four left.
Emma Choul from South Sudan who plays in the Ugandan League for Rock Catalina Pool Club had a brilliant display.

It will be fireworks come Sunday as some red-hot players remain standing in the PAU Grand Open Pool Championship.
Chandiga Ceasar had a slow start struggling against Kakiza Kenneth in the 1st round but he corrected his errors in round 2.
Sejemba Ibra convincingly ousted former national team captain Alfred “Black Sheep” Gumikiriza to sail to the last 32.
Tanzania’s Innocent Sammy had a good day and going by his standards, we are yet to see his prowess.
Sembusi Yudah aka Demba BA hammered Hazard Lukomwa in their 1st round game with no remorse and looks focused too.
Surprises in the ladies’ category
There were a few shocks as Nasasira Brenda lost to lowly ranked Serena O plus Ampaire Sandra lost to Natasha Ndibalekela.
The real test for Rukia Nayiga and Ritah Nimusiima will be in the quarter-finals as they face themselves.
These two got easy starts but their litmus test will be on Sunday and will be a match to watch.
