The 2026 Motocross season kicked off with a bang in Garuga.
The junior classes stole the show with their intense, “jaw-dropping” competition, signaling big things for Uganda’s motocross future.
With the country ranked third in Africa, there’s a lot of promise, if they can secure funding for a full team to Namibia 2026.
George Ssemakula, the event clerk for the event and a rider parent, hit the nail on the head: the little riders are the future.
The absence of top MX1 and MX2 riders created a gap, making nurturing these juniors crucial.
And the 125 CC class was fired up.
Miguel Katende, Jerome Mubiru, and Ron Young went head to head, keeping fans on the edge.
