Congolese-born forward Erick Kenzo Kambale has joined Sudanese heavyweights Al-Merrikh SC, ending his stay at Express Football Club.
The pacy forward has penned down a two-year employment contract in Sudan, which will run up to at least 2024.
The development puts an end to the transfer saga that seemed on and off for the past weeks.
Kambale and Express CEO Isaac Mwesigwa had weeks ago flown to Sudan where the player trained with Al-Merrikh, and apparently impressed.
However, over unconfirmed reasons, it was reported that the deal that had been close initially, was off. The past two days have nonetheless been intense as Kambale flew back to Sudan.
The Uganda Premier League winner scored 23 goals in two league seasons for the Red Eagles and has been arguably their best player for two years.
He is certainly a strong addition to a side vying to make a strong case in the 2022/23 continental engagements.
