Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, the giants of Ugandan women’s football, have secured three sponsors to inject money into the team for the upcoming season.

The deals are reportedly worth millions of shillings and will help the team to put the players on monthly salary and also to increase the match bonuses.

The valley warriors have a rich history in women’s football, having won the most titles in the league.

They have also produced a number of top players, including Sandra Nabweteme, Hasifah Nassuna, Ruth Aturo, Tracy Jones Akiror, Juliet Nalukenge, Yudaya Nakayenze, and many others.

Last season’s MVP and top scorer in the FUFA Women Super League, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, is also a player of Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and is currently on loan to Kampala Queens FC.

The team is also coached by Ayub Khalifah, who is regarded as the best coach in women’s football in Uganda.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim SS, the feeders of Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, is also part of the four teams that will represent Uganda in the upcoming FEASSSA games in girl’s football that will be hosted in Rwanda.

The sponsorships are a major boost for Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and will help them to challenge Kampala Queens who won the FUFA Women’s Super League last season.
