Kenya proved too dominant for Uganda’s U17 girls’ football team, the Teen Cranes, securing a commanding 3-0 victory in the return leg of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

The result saw Uganda exit the tournament with a 5-0 aggregate defeat.

The match started with an early setback for Uganda as Patience Asiko struck in the fifth minute to give Kenya an early lead. Despite Uganda’s attempts to respond, the hosts maintained control, ending the first half 1-0 ahead.

Kenya continued to dictate play in the second half, sealing their victory with two late goals. Brenda Achieng doubled the lead in the 85th minute before scoring a brilliant solo effort in stoppage time (90+4), dribbling past multiple defenders to make it 3-0.

With this result, Kenya advances to the next round, where they will face Cameroon as they push for a World Cup spot, while Uganda’s journey comes to an end.
