After Kitara FC fell 0-1 to NEC FC in their last outing at Home Royal Park Butema, Kitara FC Assistant Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa has urged his fans to flock to Hamz Stadium Nakivubo War Memorial as they return to action against Express FC with a winning mentality.
Although the trophy seems to have gone, Bossa speaking to the media team of Kitara FC for the match tomorrow Tuesday May 12 showed courage and seeks continue winning, he said.”after losing our last match we come back as an improved side, we failed to score many chances in our last two games, we have worked on it and hopefully we will score, I urge our fans to come in large numbers because we are going to give them a good game and hopefully to win.
The defeat to NEC FC completely reduced Kitara FC’s chances of winning the first league title and they are now in third place with 54 points behind KCCA FC on 55 points and Vipers leading with 60 points.
They will meet Express FC tomorrow at 8:00pm in a do-or-die situation, because with three games left and six points behind leaders Vipers SC, Kitara FC has no chance of dropping a point while praying for Vipers SC and KCCA not to win again, or else there is a miracle left.
The match will be led by URA FC hosting Calvery at the same venue starting at 5:00pm in a battle for relegation before Express FC plays host to Kitara FC in that double header
Vipers SC will already have played against Police FC at 4:00pm on Tuesday at Kira Road Police Stadium home of Police FC while KCCA FC will visit UPDF FC at Bombo Barracks on Wednesday May 13 as KCCA FC fights for the title while UPDF FC defends their relegation battle.
Other matches for the 2025-2026 league on Tuesday, Maroons FC will host Entebbe UPPC, on Wednesday Mbarara City will host SC Villa and NEC FC will host Buhimba United Saints, all the fixtures are mixed up title challengers or teams in relegation battle as the third last game for the league to end storms.
