Kitara FC trio suspended ahead of crucial SC Villa clash

Kitara FC’s preparations for the clash against reigning champions SC Villa has taken a major hit after three of their key players were slapped with suspensions and cash penalties by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel.

Titus Ssematimba, Henry Kaddu Patrick, and George Senkaaba have each been handed two-match bans from all FUFA-organised competitions following incidents of improper conduct during the Uganda Cup match against BUL FC.

The misconduct, which occurred around the 60th minute mark, was found to be in violation of section 43(3) of the FUFA Competition Rules.

In addition to the suspensions, each player has been issued a suspended fine of UGX 500,000. The fines will be activated if any of them breach disciplinary codes again during the season.

The timing of the suspensions could not be worse for Kitara, who are set to travel to Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, to face SC Villa in what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.

With their attacking force weakened by the absence of Kaddu and Senkaaba and the midfield lacking Ssematimba’s spark, Kitara will be forced to rethink their tactical approach.
