KIU Titans are raring for a huge second round of the 2022 National Basketball League after adding three more ‘Titans’ to their team.
The trio include Kenya Morans forward Fidel Okoth, ex-UCU Canons shooting Guard Isaiah Mabeny Ater and Stanley Mugerwa.
Okoth was part of the City Oilers roster for the preceding campaign that was cut short due to Covid-19 restrictions on sporting events.
The forward has most recently been at Oman side Nizwa Club on a professional stint.
Mugerwa is making a return to the Titans having been there in 2019. However, in the premature season last time out, he played with the Warriors basketball club.
Meanwhile, Mabeny is a proven shooter, who just recently completed his studies at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono.
He was a key pillar in the 2019 NBL edition as he helped UCU Canons reach the finals, before they got ousted by the defending champions City Oilers.
KIU Titans ended the first round 5th with seven wins and five defeats. But, with the additions, they will be keen on favorably competing for the Championship come playoffs time.
