Uganda Lacrosse boss Kenneth Kasule has been netted and arrested over a reported misuse of the association funds.
It is believed Kasule failed to account for the purchase of air tickets meant for the Men’s Lacrosse team.
Having been obligated to buy tickets for Ush97 million, he only secured tickets amounting to just Ush50 million.

The Lacrosse team is set to participate in the World Lacrosse Championship slated for June 21st to July 01st in San Diego, in the United States.
According to similar reports, the team manager Brian Kwesiga took the matter of missing tickets to the National Council of Sports (NCS), which effected the arrest under the authorization of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
“I would like this person to face the law and get prosecuted if he used government money for personal stuff,” NCS Secretary General Patrick Benard Ogwel was quoted by the New Vision.

The NCS has also reportedly covered all the remaining expenses for the World Championship which is under ten days away.
This is only a series of the many faults of the Lacrosse association. In 2022, the Women’s team was denied entry to the US over forged documents.
In San Diego, Uganda which is the only African side in participation, is pitted alongside Japan, Denmark, Wales, and France.
