Uganda Premier League outfit URA FC has terminated the contract of young midfielder, Abdallah Salim for unofficially evading duty for three months.

The club claims the talented star has not responded to calls and emails from the club since March 2023.

“URA FC can officially confirm that midfielder Salim Abdallah’s contract with the club has been terminated with immediate effect,” the club said in a statement on Sunday.

“This is after the player went AWOL on 3rd March 2023 without official permission from the club and failure to heed calls and emails from the club officials,” they explained.

“Ever since, he is yet to return to date, which amounts to a breach of some articles in his contract and thus, termination.”

Abdallah Salim joined the Tax Collectors after the expiry of his contract at SC Villa at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

Despite signing a two-year contract with the Taxmen, following the termination, he will now be a free agent with liberty to sign for another club.
