As the on-form side returns to the league taking on QC Mbarara, they had a successful last training at Old Kampala Futsal Arena where the game shall take place tonight.

After the training session, Mengo City Captain in an interview with FAU Media expressed his confidence in his side to overcome QC.

“QC Mbarara is an exciting team, they are growing game by game but they can’t dare stand in our way.  We want to keep pushing because this season we are chasing for the league and Uganda Cup.

“We want to reduce the four points gap behind Park and we can’t accept the gap to extend,” Male said.

In the last league game played in mid-January, Mengo  City was denied a win by Park FC to draw 3-3  before going into the season break which came to an end last Friday, February 28th when they defeated Crown Lubiri on penalties in the Uganda Cup.

In the first round of the Futsal Super League, Mengo City and QC Mbarara played out a 3-3 draw in the only meeting between the two sides.

While Mengo City seats second, QC Mbarara is 9th with 11 points from 12 though most of the points came from the last five games.
