Despite being outright favourites in this encounter, Weatherhead are fully aware of the stubbornness Badgers possess.

The two are going to face off in week 9 action of the National Hockey League on Sunday at Lugogo.

Table leader Weatherhead with 19 points can’t afford a slip as rivals Wananchi possess the same number of points.

Steven Jjuuko’s side only leads by a better goal difference, and they will not mind if things remain that way at the end of this round of play.

They take on Badgers who put in a good shift last weekend when they drew 2-2 against KHC Originals.

Weatherhead will need their top guns; Thomas Opio, Collins Batusa, Moses Tushabe, and Maxwell Mugisha to have a good day in office.

They each scored twice last Saturday as Jjuuko’s men hammered Thunders 6-1 to maintain the top spot on the table.

On the other hand, Weatherhead title rivals Wananchi will cap this game week against City Lions.

It promises to be another tough encounter for the defending champions who had to dig deep to beat Rockets 2-1 last Sunday.

They face Lions a team with nothing to lose who forced a 1-1 draw against KHC last weekend.

The other games on the menu include; KHC Originals against Makerere Stingers and Thunders entertaining Rockets, both games on Saturday.

On Sunday, bottom-placed Weatherhead Titans will face KHC. All games will be played at the Hockey grounds in Lugogo.
