Two-time champions MUBS needed just three minutes to turn the tables on Victoria University, scoring three goals in quick succession to claim a 3-1 victory at Kobojja in the University Football League.
The home side had taken the lead through Abu Kajjabwangu in the 55th minute, but MUBS refused to lie down and roared back with a vengeance.
Nazar Benjamin struck twice in the 76th and 78th minutes to put MUBS ahead, before Joseph Otema sealed the win with a goal in the 80th minute.

The victory saw MUBS move to the top of Group B with nine points, while Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) is second with six points. Victoria and YMCA are third and fourth with a point each.
MUBS coach William Kasozi was delighted with his team’s response after going a goal down.
“As an experienced team, we came from a goal down despite the pressure being high,” he said. “We managed to change everything to win the game.”
“We knew that we would put a lot of pressure to our opponents to make mistakes. It was a good fight from my players.”

Benjamin, who scored a brace, attributed the victory to their hard work and commitment.
“We were a goal down but we knew what we wanted,” he said.
“A game is played for 90 minutes and so many things can change. We didn’t give up and we pushed until we scored. It was a nice game for us.”
