In the most long-awaited announcement on Ugandan rugby Twitter, the Walukuba Barbabirans announced they would start the Sevens colours in new stripes.
The Bugembe side announced the arrival of their new skins, courtesy of a giant local partnership with Muluse Technical, owned by rugby patrons Muwata Trevor, Denis Sekidde and Lubega.
Coach Leonard Lubambula confirms that fans’ replicas will be available for sale midway through July.
The new colours will go a long way in establishing the colour of the Barbarians and how they can themselves apart from everyone.
Earlier on, as far back as the 2022 Sevens, the Barbarians struggled with jerseys and what to put on, but with the new kit launched, all that looks to be in the rearview mirror.
The Barbarians are locked in Pool A with hosts and defending Champions Jinja Hippos, Plascon Mongers in new stripes, and Kyambogo.
